Is that a scrambler, troutman? Looks like you got that baby loaded down.

Yes it is a Scrambler, I think Ocean should pay me for field testing the load capacity on that bad boy. I've fished so many different lakes since I got it I never quite know what I need when I head out so I take it all. I'm planning on paring it down for next year now that I'm getting some of the lakes dialed in. Also fly casting with all that stuff sticking up in the boat is a bit challenging. I put a fish finder on it this spring which really worked out well.

Synergy 12 Canoe - Mad River Canoe

Love it... can't say enough good things about it:
Dry, stable ride... built in rod holders, lots of storage, decent seat...

I've left mine stock, but have considered installing a fish finder or forward rod holder... and now an anchoring system of some sort!

Here's my brothers yak. As you can see, he does pretty well out of it out in California. I've fished from it a couple of times and it is a blast.

I enjoy both sit-in and sit-on tops but my personal boat is a sit-in which suits me.

See? The NEFGA sticker made it onto my boat by the Recycled Fish sticker. Paddling back there behind me is my nephew, Colton, in my wife Amy's boat. Kids love kayaks and they're usually real good at it.

Sit On Tops have become the gold standard for fishing because you can carry a lot of gear and it's so accessible, but I sure catch some dandy fish out of my sit-in, and seem to be able to carry everything I need. Plus, it's more four-seasons friendly.

My dog, Sage, loves kayaking, too!

Sweet pics FR. I'd love to take my dog with but she absolutely hates wearing a doggie life jacket. She sinks as well so I just can't bring her with.
