My dad will be coming down in a couple of weeks for an entire day of fishing with me in my new (to me) boat. It's just an old 14' with a 20hp outboard, and I pull it with a Taurus. I'm still not familiar with most bodies of water around here, so I'm looking for the collective wisdom of whomever is willing to venture an opinion.
So I have few considerations: 1 - I need the ramp to not be too steep (I'm thinking steep being like the south ramp at Sherman... maybe that's not as steep as I remember) 2 - I'd like it to be within an hour or two of Lincoln 3 - I have no particular species in mind. I'm mediocre at best for pretty much everything, so no preference there. It's just that we'll be out most of the day, like 10am on, but would like to be able to catch throughout the day. This will be September 10. Any ideas? And what will I be catching at your preferred body of water? Feel free to PM if you prefer ![]() Thanks!! ![]() FWD

Chuck Norris could fish the Papio in his boat and catch fish ALL day long just by looking them in the eye!
Best of luck, Ryan. I fish with a 3' Floatie with 2 Kershaw outboards. Have fun with the new boat, Bud!

try Wildwood, north of branched Oak, great lake, lots of good size bass in there, and all the bluegill you can catch, nice catfish and crappie as well.
It is a smaller lake so you should be able to fish most of it in a day. The ramp is not steep at all and best of all, the lake is rarely busy. no live baitfish though, so dont bring any.

Yes, I know that ramp. Definitely works with my setup. I've also backed it into Conestoga once, and that was no big deal either. Do you happen to know what the ramp at Stagecoach is like? Another place I haven't been to... ![]()

Fremont Lakes SRA? 20 lakes to choose from if you get tired of any one specific lake. I've been having much success sunny's as of late. Odds are pretty good for LMB as well depending on the lake. Lakes 20 and 16 have really easy concrete ramps. You could probably get into lakes 1, 2, 11, 17, 19 as well.
