lmao, I remember it would get so bad, Gretna had to install it's very first traffic light years ago. Not just the first light on HWY 6, the whole town.

Somewhere in there I lived in Oklahoma. Traffic is exceedingly bad on game days... all over OKC, especially to Norman and Stillwater. During the Bedlam game I-35 was bumper to bumper, almost at a standstill every year whether the game was in Norman or Stillwater (Go Pokes!). Of course, I did ride my bike that whole time (hard to imagine, I know!).

If you all have it the 14th, I understand... catch some fish for me and take good pictures. If you wanna see the laws of buoyancy defied, see you Saturday

I can make it either day, it dosen't mattter to me.
Game day traffic is surely a big turn off though, that is a justafiable reason for scheduling considerations. Too bad there is schedule conflicts, but that is going to happen.

Holmes Lake IS a Big Red Shuttle pick up spot, so aside from navigating traffic on Normal Blvd., parking might be at a premium around the north side of the lake on gameday.

Haven't been able to get out and meet any forum members, so would love to try to make it either day.

Default OK, it's the 14th !! -Wolf Tackle to sponsor Regatta!

OK, so, it's the 14th then!!

and here's the deal...

Our own MrGadget of Wolf Tackle down in Lincoln would like to help make this a killer day down there at Holmes Lake. The gang (the gang being MrGadget and GenerousAngler!) from Wolf Tackle will come and set up a tent and serve hot dogs and drinks for everyone.

So, how's that!!?

In addition, for those folks that don't have a tube of their own the, Wolf Tackle is now offering a serious discount for this event on Bass Pro Lost Lake Float tubes as follows:

These float tubes are normally $69.95 for closed front and $79.95 for open front (U-boat style) to NEFGA forum members at a substantial discount of 20% off with prepaid order.

Heckuva deal right there!! Order yours now and have it plenty of time for the regatta!

PM MrGadget or call him down at Wolf Tackle in Lincoln at (402)464-4265.

A big 'Thank You!' to MrGadget and GenerousAngler for hosting this event for us down at Holmes Lake on Sunday, Sep 14.
Hope to see a big bunch of you there!!

Default Float Tube Event

On Sunday the 14th I might even show up. It sounds like too much fun to miss. Maybe I'll bring my boat and see how many float tubers I can piss off .

Our South store will be open for any last minute purchases.

GOOD!, that means the lake should be pretty clear, the best days in Lincoln are the days of a game, the stores are empty, parks are empty and so on, the only problem is having to listen to the game while shopping.

It's okay, Alex... we can Kumbaya (Kum Ba Yah - however you like it) by ourselves... How does that little bronze bullet dodge Husker traffic? Sure could go for some hotdogs though. Awfully generous of your guys!

That's a heck of a good deal, especially on the U-boat style.

I'm off the night before so I'm going to camp somewhere probably and make my way over there around daylight.
I hear there's a nice field over at the west end of Vine St that probably won't be used by anyone that night.

Mr. Gadget, when and where do you plan to set up?

Chime in here for a head count if you are planning on making this event on Sept 14th.
