Default Catch & Continue Follow Up Event!

EVENT: Catch & Continue Follow Up Gathering
FOR: NEF&GA MEMBERS AND FAMILY
Where: Cottonmill Lake, Kearney NE
When: Saturday, August 16th
Time: Park hours, 6:00 AM ~ 10:00 PM**

We have secured the West Shelter (closest to the boat ramp) for a gathering of NEF&GA members (and your family) on Saturday, August 16th, the day of the "Awards Ceremony" sponsored by, and presented at Cabela's in La Vista... and possibly at the Kearney Store.

Should there be a ceremony at the Kearney Cabela's, arrangements will be made to attend that event.

Further information to come, please check here for updates!

We WILL cater this event!

PLEASE send me a PM or call me at 1-800-357-5613 with any questions!

** The time for the "feed" will be announced when we have the time and location(s) confirmed by Cabela's. SOOOOO, why not just plan for the whole day!

A "feeler" was posted earlier. PLEASE post here if you are "planning" to attend this gathering!

Harold F.

Harold,

This is great!!!
NEFGA is much more than the southeastern part of the state. It was great chatting with you about that the other day. Thanks for helping to expand the community out west!

PS - Making this a sticky soon so look for it at the top of the page...

Just got back from... Holdrege, Bertrand, Elwood, Arapahoe, Holbrook, Edison... When's lunch today? Must buy from Cabela's to thank them for their sponsorship of the Catch and Continue Contest!

Good news possibility from another of Chad's posts... Ceremony at Cabela's in Kearney! Hope it pans out and details are soon!

August 16 is a go for both stores - Cabela's Kearney and La Vista.
More to come in terms of time and details, but think early afternoon...

Isn't it interesting, dc, how many Omahans think "western Nebraska" begins somewhere around Waterloo? Our neighbor across the street just told SWMBO last night that he was excited about driving to Colorado next week because he'd never been west of York!

Sandbilly, our "friends" from "Omahole" (sorry, Storm Hockey term embedded in my system) consider anything EAST of "Stinkin' Lincoln" (ditto's) as "out West"!

I doubt that Chad has a clue where HOOKER COUNTY is- or for that matter, MY families home county of SHERIDAN! But with your help and the other members "out west", we have the opportunity here to "edumacate" them!

Harold F.

Note: This post was intended to be "in fun" but IF I have "triggered" an "itch", I apologize in advance. My PM is available for any/all personal attacks...

Some information that may encourage more Members... We will attempt to secure a Kearney "Trolley" for the day, to assist the wives/girlfriends (or both ) and kids to visit other attractions, or (I will DENY I said this) the Mall, whatever. But it will take more than just a handfull of Members to justify!

Depending on the time of Cabela's Event, the Trolley could be used (again, if available) to take us to and from Cottonmill (West of Kearney) to the Cabela's Retail Store (East end of Kearney).

Event activities and MORE STUFF to follow as details are secured!

I don't see how you are going to be able to get all that arranged, Harold, and still make it to your Possum Lodge meeting with Uncle Red. You'd better start asking Slimdog for help now.

No answer yet....I think their interweb out west is on a party line.

P.S. -- OBG...Reading some of cousin Harold's posts in your absence, I could have sworn you 2 were brothers separated at birth.

If there ever was a comment guaranteed to offend one of us, that's it!
