Default Thanks and looking for help

Thanks BoB_25 for the help on Walnut Creek. He's got a lot of good info and much more experience than I so his help was much appreciated as I try to get more serious into the sport.

Also, I'm looking for someone who fishes the Missouri river from a boat. I would like to fish for catfish from a boat but don't know how to do it on the river. I used to do it from the bank down in Plattsmouth. Any pointers or someone that would be willing to go out there with me some evening this week would be much appreciated.

Before you take your boat out on the Mo, I'd wait and let it drop a little more. Most of the dikes and wing dams are above the water now, but it is easiest to learn your area of the river while it is low so you can get an idea where the obstacles lie.
Once on the water, take it slow while out of the main channel and keep a close eye on the depth finder, it'd probably be a good idea to run with the shallow alarm on for your first few trips.
Other than always start your trip by going upstream for a ways to make sure the boats going to run fine, that's about all I have for ya.
Be careful, use common sense and have fun!!
