Default Wagon Train yesterday

Not a bad day at WG yesterday. Could not have asked for better weather. I was surprised at how few people were on the water. No more than 3 boats at any one time. Caught a couple bass and snagged a catfish. I need to get back to this lake soon. Forgot how nice a lake it was. Anyone ever catch any musky out of WG. I see they have a 40" size limit on them, so they must have some in there. Some day I will figure out how to post pics. BTW, it's not easy taking pictures of fish when alone in a kayak!

I probably caught 15 or so muskie there last year. The biggest I pulled in was 37" but i've been with guys that caught 40"+ from there. Happy to have a spot around lincoln to catch a fish like that: nice work game a parks.

ccm13, wish we would have shouted out to each other. What boat were you in? I saw one boat combing the shoreline for bass, another with two guys in the middle of the lake (smaller fishing boat, v bottom). Were not many out there, so I know I saw you.

Water quality is really bad out there right now with all the rain they received the past month. Same thing at Stagecoach. Less than 2" last time I was there last week. Water was like chocolate milk and pushing 86 degrees.

Burchard Lake would be a good choice IMO if you are looking for some nice bass to catch.

orange shad rap I think it dives 5-7 ft. It was in the middle of july last year actually.

Also, you can use a float tube out there, dont worry the fish dont bite hard.

we have been down there 4 times and caught one 39 inch musky by accident. On a 1/8 ounce jig and crawler. Had one on that would have gone 36.
