Default 2000 members! - Special Offer -

The NEFGA forum just went over 2000 members today!! We've gained quite a few members this summer. Welcome to all the new folks!!

Thanks to everyone for making this summer fishing contest so cool!! If you haven't looked through this thread, you really need to to see all the great fish that were put in for week 1.

Good luck to everyone for week 2!!

As a special offer to everyone to say "thank you" for helping to build the NEFGA forum into the best hunting and fishing forum anywhere around, I'm going to make everyone the following offer and give folks another chance to win some more great prizes during this fishing contest:

I'm going to reduce the price of forum stickers down to $3.00 each with no shipping charge and no limit for everyone who would like to order some during this summer contest!!

Plus, for every sticker sold we'll give away a Cabela's gift certificate worth a dollar for every sticker we sell during this offer to be drawn from those buying stickers during this offer. I think we'll divide it up into gift certificates of $25.00 each for this. So, if we sell 50 stickers, we'll draw for 2 $25.00 gift certificates. If we sell 100 stickers, we'll draw 4 $25.00 gift certificates.

This will be a mail order only special. Cash, Check or money order to:

NEFGA
P O Box 31443
Omaha, NE 68131

Include your screen name with your order and I'll put you into the drawing once for every sticker you buy!
We'll draw at the end of this fishing contest and award those Cabela's gift certificates when we award prizes for the contest!!

Thanks everyone!!

Here's what the sticker looks like:

This stickers measures 4" across and it looks great on your vehicle or boat (or dog box, gun safe or tackle box) !!

The sticker sales are a huge part of what has kept the lights on around here through all our monthly server and software fees and related upgrades.

The regular price on these stickers is a total of $5.00 for one or 2 for $9.00, so this is a really sweet deal all the way around on these sharp looking forum stickers you see around your favortie lake on all the forum members rigs!

We're able to keep all this forum and website FREE to everyone and I thank you all for your support!!

LincolnLunger, Sorry you couldn't make it out - but this is one of only two gills that even took the hook in a little over an hour...
This guy should bump your score up a bit its too bad I wont be in the running to win the contest but maybe next time...I should have taken some pictures of the bluegill i caught at the beginning of the week
Good luck in the contest!

There are some great fish posted! Here is my sub 1 point fish.... really figured I'd get something better than this after not including the control on my 26" channel cat on day 1 of the contest. oh well. The best thing is, even If (ok, when) i don't win or finish top 3, i've been motivated to get out and fish, and have had loads of fun doing it this last week! 6 out of 7 days fishing is a good thing in my book!

7.06" bluegill (hey, i need every inch i can get..... yeah yeah insert joke here)

Wow to all! This is really showing the diversity of NE fishing.....I think this contest is the best thing to happen to this forum...(As far as seeing a wide diversity of members catch a wide diversity of nice fish -- and getting to see their smiling faces.)

An extra big kudos to all of the 8"+ bluegills....(coming from somebody who has got hundreds of 7 1/2" bluegills the last few years, and less 8" than I can count on 1 hand.....that has to be one of the hardest bits of this competition I think.

I just got my sprint wi-fi card fixed because I am going to be on vacation for the last couple weeks of this month and this here competition is more exiting than any reality show on TV this summer.

mini-holdem's entry

Here is my daughter's entry. She did better than me tonight!

7.6" Bluegill - yeah, it peed on her

Chad, just want to make sure it's still ok for both my daughter and I to have an entry. Not like i'll win anyway, but I'll never turn down a reason to fish!

ok, in the last hour or so of week one, 2 questions, first can we switch our first entry for a different fish because I got a nice fish tonight. And second, is a 27 inch channel cat better as far as points as compared to a 17 3/4 bass?

Yeah you can replace a previous entry with a new one, and a 27 inch channel would score better than a 17 3/4" bass.

H2only,
yes and yes. A 27" channel is over a point and a 17.75" LMB is under.

The best I could do 7" BG also a 12" LMB but that would score much lower I think...

Dang huskerbowhunter! Are you pumping your lakes with steroids or what?

That fish is the Roger Clemens of bluegill. If you do this again for week 2 we're gonna have to put an asterisk by your name!

Went to Cottonmill to add a "Please, No Trash" sign to the line bin, and decided to toss a spinnerbait... 9:15PM tonite. Guess I might as well enter... ha

She was 18 1/4 before she "re-aligned". Oh, well.

Nothing to brag about but it gets me in the contest. 8 1/8 inch caught in a private pond that usually gives up MA's.

Pleasure to meet you tonight OBG, I couldn't find the twin to your cat tonight, but maybe the next time.

17.5" LMB for MasterAngler

MasterAngler had problems with his computer so I am posting these pictures for him.

17.5" Largemouth

We tried to fill him full of "The Best Beer EVER" to try to help him stretch to 18", but it didn't quite work.
