Default Speaking of programs

Something else I'm involved in soon is another new thing we're trying. In partnership with the 4H Camp at Halsey, we (the NGPC Boating Safety Section) will be holding an Aquatic Skills Camp at Halsey & Calamus.

Here is the description:

Do you want to learn to water ski, operate jet skis, surf on
sailboards and cruise in kayaks? In partnership with the
Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, we are hosting an
encounter on Calamus Reservoir. This camp is designed for
high school youth who want to explore popular summer
water sports. We will spend the first day at the State 4-H
Camp learning water safety and earning the Basic Boating
Safety Certification. Then away we go to camp out at the
reservoir. Evenings will include some of Nebraska’s best
fishing, campfires and other camp favorites. Bring a sleeping
bag, personal camping gear and your own life jacket
(PFD). Personal fishing equipment is recommended. This
session is limited to 28 campers so
register early.

Yes, they are going to learn how to operate PWC (jet ski). Guess who is teching them that section... Don't worry, they get taught how to respect other water users.

This a a brand new program we tried last year but didn't get enough registrations. We have enough this year to make a go of it, but there could be a couple of slots open if you have an young'un 14-18 who wants to go.
