Default Hello to everyone

Hi all,

I have been checking out the site for a couple of weeks now and finally got a chance to join. I am currently in the Navy stationed in Bremerton Washington, but will be retiring in December and moving back to Alliance. I am on my final deployment at the moment and we are inport Hawaii, so hopefully I will have a few fish photos to post soon (not exactly Nebraska fish, but a Nebraskan fishing anyway). Wish I were back home now to take advantage of the summer weather and chase some Bluegills at Box Butte.
I was glad to find so many fishing reports and photos from home, and am hoping to meet some of you folks out at the lakes in Western Nebraska when I finally get there. Thanks to the site administrators and everyone who posts for giving me something to look forward to when I get the chance to go online, it makes the time pass so much faster and keeps me in my "happy place".

Howdy, panfisher! Welcome to "the Board"!

So, what kind of "panfish" did you use to catch that beast in your avitar?

Welcome aboard fellow future Western Nebraskan. Alliance is my home town. Good luck at Box Butte when you get back here!

Actually that is my Dad in the avatar. It's my small way of thanking him for taking me fishing all those years & always making it fun whether we caught fish or not.
He tried for years to catch a big pike and finally landed that one at Box Butte a few years before he passed. Funny that you asked what panfish it was caught on because it was cut bluegill meat just sitting on the bottom.

Panfisher, that was worth repeating, as I was sitting at the keyboard remembering my fishin' buddie Herbie. He was fishing the day before he passed, and had recently caught his "fish of a lifetime", an 8lb Walleye!

The memories, Panfisher. They're all good!
