Default Intro

Hi. I am from Papillion, and I love to fish. I already have my liscense for this year and am planning to get out to Walnut Creek Lake to fish Crappie as soon as it gets nice out.
I do have one question. I am 17 and I would like to either work for the Game and Parks Commission up here or be an aquaculturist. I want to either go to college at UNO or UNK. If anyone has any ideas to help me out with fulfilling my goal, that would be great. I don't know what to major in, thinking of either wildlife management or general biology, but I'm not sure if that would be the best course to take.

I just wanted to say hi, and I hope to get a lot of use out of this site.

Whoo hoo! I'm not the only Eagles fan anymore. For only being 17 you are already showing exceptional judgement in your football team.

Welcome to the forum! Looking forward to seeing your posts.

I just wanted to say hi, and I hope to get a lot of use out of this site.

when i was you're age just about 10 years ago, i also had the same career ideas. i went to the g&p office on 33rd street in Lincoln and ended up making it all the way upstairs where i sat in rex amack's office and discussed what i needed to do to accomplish my goals. so...i would say talk to the guys in g&p and they will advise you well. from my experiences all the g&p personnel i have met have been really nice people.
anyway, welcome!
