Default Greetings from Columbus, NE

Hello friends,

I found this site while searching on Google for information on fishing and camping in Nebraska... What a great find!!!

Anyway; a little about me. I was born in Lincoln Nebraska 40 years ago on June 9th, 1968. I have resided in Columbus NE for the past 18 years working for a local manufacture. For the past 10 years I have been working as a product design engineer designing cattle handling equipment...
I am married and have 2 daughters that are 9 & 13 years old. We are all big fans of camping, fishing, mountain biking, hiking and a few other outdoor activities.
My personal favorite hobby is woodworking... I am also learning to play the electric guitar in my spare, spare time...
My family and I just recently upgraded our old travel trailer to a brand new 2008 Sprinter 311BHS; We call it the "Land Yacht" since it measures 41' from hitch to bike rack ... The camper is a total blast and we can hardly wait for our weekend trips to arrive! We mainly camp at Nebraska State Parks and make about 50+ nights a year. We have made 6 outings already this year.
Anyway; I am glad I found this site and look forward to visiting it very often!
My website is: robjohnson.info if you would like to see a little more about me...

Welcome Big Johnson,(hope that refers to your camper) I'm sure you'll enjoy this forum just as much as the rest of us.
You said you were born 40 yrs ago and I thought you were old, untill I read 1968 and realized I was born in 1969

Welcome to the site. I looked through your web pages and am really impressed. Looks like we have our own husker Norm Abram. Ever work on gunstocks?

Cougarw,

Monday is dooms day for me... I will officially be 40 that day...

Carbonman,
I have refinished a couple of my own stocks but that’s about it... I am pretty handy with Colt 45's, Beretta 92F's, M-16's, M-60's, 50 cal, 25mm chain guns, mortars, and cannon tubes on tanks and a few other things... I was a weapons repairman in the military... Not much demand for that in the privet sector...

Never manufactured my own stock thou; maybe someday...
