Default Who makes your favorite bucktail?

OK....a lot of people actually make their own but, of the popular manufacturers, who makes your favorite?

You left Musky Mayhem off the list. I am so ready to try out a Super Model Double Cowgirl. 13" long and 4.3 oz of fury . See if those custom #13 blades are all they say they are!

I screwed up my vote! Meant to poke in a yes for Mepps. Lots of fun with the Musky Killers.

What? no Blue Fox? I'd like to find some of their big bucktails. They look like they might be pretty good.

Default Dbl Cowgirl

For the few minutes that I was able to fish the DCG last year on the 'Woods I did catch a nice 43" muskie. Not a bait one wants to throw all day though.

Eagletail. I like how they get through weeds but sometimes the blades, especially on the Lil' Eagletail, don't start spinning on their own. Have to give the rod tip a tug to start 'em reliably.

I like throwing double showgirls, they are a nice little bait.

well, they're really not all that big..."considering".......

I saw a guy trolling a custom 18" bucktail once.

I used to make topwaters, commercially. Had a guy in Ontario who swore by my 14" globes. Said he row-trolled with 'em. Impossible to cast....they weighed almost 3 pounds. Big bait!

I also made a custom 18" flaptail for another guy in Ontario.

First time I saw a guy rigging a Beavertail spinnerbait (the big one), I think I laughed out loud...huge spinnerbaits. If you've never seen or heard of the Beavertail, google it. Very good baits, btw. They can be speed-trolled up to 14 mph without blowing out.

Big baits are fun!

"Big" is a relative term. I know the regular size BullDawg is no fun to throw at all. I can't imagine tossing stuff heavier than that.

DCG's seem to catch fish. No choice but throw 'em I guess.

DCG's will definetly give you a work out if you throw them for awhile

Actually, I'd have to go with Mojo XX followed up with a Llungen in red.

As far as 10-15 doubles, I bought a Saltist and it makes all the difference in the world. I was fishing them on an Okuma Induron w/ powerhandle and that works out just fine, too. THe saltist, though, is incredible.
