Default LOW Fishing Report

Just got back from my annual Fall (? --Temps were in the mid 70's to 80's all six days) Musky Fishing Trip to LOW. Only raised two big ones and hooked one in six days of heavy fishing with four men. The Weather and Lake Conditions did us in.

LOW is up two more feet since early August when we were last up there musky fishing. Water temps range from the Mid 70's on the Upper Lake around Big Narrows to the Lower 70's around Whitefish Bay Area. No Moon. No Wind--Lake was dead clam four four days with very little wave action to concentrate the batfish. Water Clarity was poor in the Big Narrows Area with a late algea bloom in full force to absolutely crystal clear in the Whitefish Area.

Talked to a few other die-hards fishing that had similar results. Usually we raise and see ten-to-twelve fish a day throughout the lake on multiple lure styles. We tried everything made............I guess thats why it's called fishing not catching.

The Sioux Narrows Bassing for Bucks Tournament was on with weights and catch rates off by about 5 lbs. Average Catch Rate for 150 teams was four fish with a total weight of 17lbs. Still pretty nice.

All and All it was still a glorious trip. Got a Sun Burn in September in Canada. The Greater Canadian Geese Migration has started off of Hudson's Bay. Saw lots of Wildlife to include a Wolf for the first time South of Dryden. Caught lots of Nice Sized Northerns on Musky Baits too keep things interesting. Caught a few walleyes in the evenings trolling. And Gained Ten Pounds Eating like a King for Seven Days.

Plan on two more outing before Ice On.. I will keep you posted.

Sorry to hear about your trip. If I had only one lake to fish the rest of my life that would be the one.
