Default MI53 June Events Schedule

June will likely be our most eventful month of the year. We will start off by holding a general meeting on Wednesday June 3rd at 7:00 PM, which will be at the HHC Sales office on 8944 H Street in Omaha.

Then, on June 5-6 we will be holding a Cabin Fever Outing at Wagontrain. Some of the members are camping at Wagontrain on June 5th, so grab your camping equipment and be prepared for a great outing! June 6 is the official day of fishing. This event is free and open to all members and guests.

If anyone is interested in attending the fishing outings but are in need of boat, let us know and we will try and arrange you a boat partner.

To finish the month we will be heading to Fremont 20 on June 20th from 10:00 AM to roughly 12:00 PM to clean up the shoreline. Then afterwards we will grill some lunch. This way we can sit down as a club and enjoy some food, while helping the environment.

Default Wagon Train

To the best of my knowledge there were only 2 muskie incidents on saturday, but I don't know how anyone did after we had lunch. I had 2 different fish follow early saturday morning on my first spot, both went around on the fig-8 several times but wouldn't eat. First fish was about 36" and the second I got very good looks at while we played keep away at boatside was 41".

Patrick and Brittany stayed down at WT all weekend, and I got a pic sent to me of a 26" muskie that Brit caught yesterday evening. Hopefully Patrick will post a full report.

My family and I were able to fish Wagon Train for about 3 hours on Saturday. We didn't see any muskies but Eric caught a nice largemouth. Then at about 12:30 we had a picnic lunch as a club. The food was delicious, thanks Jamie for providing the food!

Default Wagin Train Cabin Fever Outing

The Wagon Train Cabin Fever Outing was a BLAST!

Thanks, Jamie for the great food!

On 6/7 Patrick & Brit caught a 27".
on 6/8 Dan & his buddy Jeromy joined P&B for a day of fishing.
After a while Patrick yelled "Grab the net!" he caught a 28"!! It was a beauty!
Then we took a short break & got right back to fishing.
I had a couple of things replaying in my head, "Patience, Brittany, it will happen" & Sell's guide. After about 3 casts, I thought I caught Jeromy's line, Dan thoght we were playing around in the water...Nope! it was a muskie!!
Patrick yelled "keep it tight, keep it tight!" I had no idea how much it was going to fight! I thought I was going to throw up!! Got it to the net & had it in the boat long enough for a few pics & a quick measurement, 31".
Now I know what you guys are talking about!

Thanks for a great time everyone!
When's the next outing?!?
