Default May 6th and 20th MI53 League Nights

MI53's next meeting will be on the water. We are trying something completely new to our club and are starting "MI53 League Night". We will have two nights of fishing at Zorinsky Lake on May 6th and 20th at 5:00 PM. It will cost $7 a person each night to fish, $5 of which will go to the pot and $2 to our club. The pot will continue to build until someone catches a musky. Hope to see everyone there!

This is right around the corner and don't forget that the pot will be won by the largest musky caught over 30" and will continue to build until someone catches one! This event is open to the general public and non members are welcomed to join us. If you have been wanting to fish one of Nebraska's up and coming musky fisheries then this is a perfect oppurtunity to do so. Don't have a boat? Well don't sweat it, there will be plenty of room to jump in a boat. Hope to see everyone there!

Well, how'd it go? I knew I couldn't join in, but I was hoping to stop by and see if I could meet anyone. Darned kids really cut in on my free time. Anything caught?

Default League night

We had a good turnout, with 11 people fishing from 6 boats if my count was accurate.

Two muskies encountered from the report I got. Didn't have any action in my boat, but I'm told another boat had a follow from a small fish, and Huskerland member Bill Champion caught a 22" muskie late in the day. Hopefully Bill has some pictures of the little guy!

Yeah, Jaime has the count correct. It was a perfect day to have our first MI53 League Night and it was even better that Bill caught that 22 incher. Just remember that the pot is still up for grabs and that our next outing is on May 20th. Same rules will apply.

We had 4 people attend, who all fished from the same boat.

The highlight of the night was Eric Tesarek catching a nice 21" musky. We got a picture of Eric with the little bugger, but he doesn't look the happiest because he is looking into the sun.

Overall, it was a decent night to be out fishing but just a tad to breezy.

Yes, the sun was BRIGHT! Anyways it is good to know that there are some muskies swimming the depths of Zorinsky! I also caught a fat 15" walleye, granted down sizing was the key to success.

We didn't have any follows and it was caught on a musky lure.
