I just got done scouring the internet for a bait called "Thundertail". Can not find it anywhere. Any one heard of this? I found a thunderhead but no tails.
If I am remembering correctly it is a top water very similiar to Poes Awaker. Thanks,

Nah, he had to go to court in WI, he got hit on Chequamegon last year by a cruiser, had just talked about selling his boat, ended up that it didn't do a lot of damage to the boat, but it was enough that he had to go to court.
I asked him about the bait, and he is pretty sure he sold it. |

Not so good. We had a nasty front come in on Sat. that pretty much shut it down. Water temps were around 69 on the main lake and we couldnt get anything to eat there. We could find em but not convince them to take. Just as things started to heat up we had another system come in on Wed. Owell, it is what it is. The Friday before we left things were improving and a guy brought in a 55" down on the end we had been fishing heavely.
The smaller lake we hit was nearly 71 degrees and we did get more follows but only 1 fish ready to eat, and it was kinda piddly. Did discover a new bait, Swimmin Joe, not sure how long its been out but I was tearing up the cabbage with it and getting plenty of follows. I used the 8" Perch version. Swims really great, heck I'd eat it. I really really like this bait. Pike and perch were to be as expected. We pulled pike outa the reeds with spinner baits and around 18' of water with rapalas. Perch were sitting in around 7'. I think I might take a weekend trip up in mid-late August. Interested Coop?
