Default New bins, Cunningham and Holmes Lake

Next weekend, on Saturday, at 9 am NEFGA is installing bins up at Cunningham in Omaha and then on Sunday afternoon at 1 at Holmes Lake in Lincoln.

Colby Ridge Popcorn is sponsoring the bin at Holmes Lake and Scheels in Omaha is again sponsoring the new bins at Cunningham. A member of Skershaw's Boy Scout troop, Nathanael Obeng, ramrodded the building of a pile of new bins for us this year and will be managing the line collection up at Cunningham and a few other lakes we hope to get on the list yet this year.

I want to thank MA Machine for heading up our efforts in Lincoln this year. I'm pretty sure we're going to have a few more bins going in over there yet this summer.

Default Bin install for Cunningham postponed

The bin install for this Saturday at Cunningham has been postponed due to a scheduling conflict for the scouts that are assisting us with this install. I'm still going down to Holmes on Sunday to put that one in.

I want to help. It'd be great to get bins at Pawnee and Conestoga. I'm there enough, that I'd be willing to take care of them. What do I need to do?

Aaron, if you can make it to Holmes on Sunday, Catfishsteve will have some flyers that explain the Bin Program!

We need a Sponsor for the Bin. A $100 donation to NEFGA will provide for the cost of the bin, and recognition of the Sponsor will be placed on the Bin. Did I mention, for the life of the Bin!

I plan on handing several out during my trip to Tobias/Swanton on Friday. We have a Volunteer. Permission to install a bin is needed from the "Property Manager" of the fishery. I don't expect any problems with securing permission.

Hope to see you on Sunday!

If you need someone to check the bin at Holmes let me know. I would be willing to collect line there every week since I fish there quite a bit.

FYI, theDarkArcher and his side-kick Phishful Thinking agreed to be the Bin Volunteers when this project by MA Machine began.

You might contact them if you find the Bin needs emptied!

Default bin material

Just back from Lowes in Lincoln, They are donating material for 12 bins ..ie.2-10' 6"pipe,12elbows,and 12 plugs Should pick up everything this week..Also checking on sponsorship. Also when at Scheels Lincoln gave them the flier and should hear from possibly this month ( not sure if they spent donation money for July Maybe can do one more donation if not next month).
Still going to both Menards and Both Home depots. Will report when I get done.

You can send Catfishsteve a PM ANYTIME or go to the Fishing Line Recycling Bin Forum and make your proposal/request!
