...and I am willing to volunteer the time to maintain it. Please use this thread to add to YOUR "Wish List" Note: Maintenance includes collection of the line and providing information concerning the contents and the condition of the bin itself. All bins will have a sponsor and bin installation must be approved by the fisheries management. If you have a sponsor in mind, or wish to sponsor a bin, please include that information. The cost of Sponsorship is $100.00 and includes "lifetime" Sponsor recognition on the Bin. This is NOT a profit making program, as the cost of the materials, installation, and fuel costs to and from the installation clearly exceed the cost of Sponsorship! Not to mention YOUR time and effort to maintain the Bin after installation!

![]() Guys, if you fish even once in a while at one of those areas Harold has listed, I can assure you that you'll never have an easier volunteer "obligation." I try to check my two bins at Two Rivers twice a month, and it's almost always at a time when I'm there fishing anyway. The only "extra" part of it is trying (at my age) to remember to bring my line garbage bag each time. Think of it in terms of where you're likely to fish 6-10 times this summer and what a difference 5 minutes of volunteerism might make. ![]()

An update was made in the new listings as approval was DENIED by the City of Kearney for Yanney Park. Apparently their reasoning was because the bin didn't fit "aesthetically". When I contacted the Sponsor, asking approval to place it at Ft. Kearny, he was more than willing to allow the move. His comments matched my thoughts, exactly. What is more "aesthetical", the Line Bin or one of the local Swans with fishing line wrapped around them.
This is a "family friendly" Park. What better opportunity than to have Pop and the kids picking up line left by the slobs, and the encouragement the Line Bins give that effort. A side note, THANK YOU GENE with the NGPC at Ft. Kearny. He was going to suggest a SECOND BIN at Ft. Kearny as the fancy dock built and used behind the Firstier Event Center where the NGPC held the last couple of "Extravaganza's" is in Lincoln being refurbished, and will be placed at Ft. Kearny, lake #6! AnglerX, your wish, it appears, has been granted! The "Extravaganza" and Free Fishing Day will be at Ft. Kearny in May. We will coordinate the installation with the NGPC's installation of the Dock. I will leave it to Slimdog to comment on the other City of Kearney installation, at Cottonmill Park. I don't find it to be "esthetic" to re-paint the Post that was installed for that Bin, along with part of the Bin... OK, I'm done... Harold F.
