This recipe just made it's way across my desk. Sounds kinda good. I suppose it would work with any firm fleshed fish.
Disclaimer: I cannot guarantee recipe accuracy as I have not tried it. Bon appetite...Slim Mr. Billy's Gar Balls (Patties) 3 lbs. ground gar 1 1/2 lbs. potatoes, mashed or ground 1 1/2 or 2 bell peppers, cut fine 2 onions, minced 2 tsp. black pepper 3 tsp. salt 2 tsp. garlic powder Mix all ingredients well. Shape into patties on floured surface; just patting them with flour. Then fry until golden brown Note: Seasonings (onions, bell pepper and potatoes) should be run through grinder or blender, if possible. Last edited by Slimdog; 08-07-2008 at 05:51 PM. |
