This isn't something most of us will get the chance to use more than once a year, if that often, but my daughter's friend, Lindsey, made the most incredible sauce for the 10 dozen fresh oysters we grilled in the shell at my daughter's wedding reception last Saturday night.
Lindsey's "Secret" Oyster Sauce Gently melt half pound of butter in sauce pan Stir in: (all measurements approximate -- adjust to personal taste) --2 tablespoons of Johnny's Seasoning (an orange powder) --3 tablespoons of chopped garlic --2 tablespoons of strong horseradish --1/4 cup lemon juice --1 tablespoon of Tobasco Heat sauce and spoon over hot oysters on the half shell. My almost 80-year old father ate 14!
