The other day I was smoking some summer sausage and at the same time was making a big pot of chili for the stuper bowl.
Had an idea. I took the hamburger and spread it out onto some foil and set it in the racks of the smoker on a full smoke for about 45 mins or so just to get that nice smokey flavor in the meat. Browned it in the pan and added it to the chili. AWESOME! Was told by some people who were there that they went to a chili cookoff a couple weeks back and this tasted better than the one that won it. Try it and let me know what you think.
