This recipe packs a punch of ginger, so if you dont love ginger it may not be for you.
Ginger Beer recipe: 16 oz of fresh peeled, grated ginger 8 oz Brown Sugar 2 oz Lime juice 1/8 tsp dry yeast 7 1/2 Cups filtered water Empty 2 Liter Bottle 1) Place ginger, brown sugar and water in a stockpot. 2) Boil mixture for 1 Hour, then allow to steep for 1/2 to 1 Hour 3) Strain the mixure with a fine-mesh strainer 4) Add in lime juice and pour into the 2 liter bottle 5) Add yeast and shake to incorperate 6) Allow to ferment for 48 hours to 60 hours at room temp. Once daily thoroughly vent the bottle and keep an eye on it after the first day(you may need to vent more often, depending on the yeasts viability). 7) Refridgerate afterward and continue to vent every few days. The alcohol content of this beverage is between .5 to 1.5% depending on the allowed fermentation time. ![]()
