Default Favorite walleye recipe

If you haven't tried this one yet, it will become your favorite!
Thick walleye fillets.
dust fillet in flower seasoned with salt, pepper, paprika to taste
dip fillet into beaten eggs
dip fillet into instant potato buds.
Fry fish in HOT canola oil turning once until browned on both sides.
It is an awesome flavor!

Default Very close to my family's recipe

The only differences are that we mix the eggs 50/50 with milk, and instead of potato buds we use finely crushed saltine crackers.

Pretty similar I think, and it is also extremely tasty. I often bread a big batch of fillets and then freeze them so my kids (teens) can cook up a few if they get a hankerin' for them. They usually don't last long though, I sometimes come home to find them feeding their friends the fruit of my efforts.

If anybody makes a mint on this though, you owe me half.

Hmm...If you use instant tater mix, you should try a box of Latkes. It's basically a Jewish potato pancake. It comes in a form like the instant taters, but has an interesting flavor to it.

I'm not too sure where to find it this time of year, though.

Here is the type my Jewish bro-inlaw makes...
