I don't know where it would be best to post this so I'll let the moderators move this as they see fit.

I stopped at Wolf's Tackle on Havelock this afternoon to check out the sale. I offered to by his last 6 new Zebco 101 rod/reel combos (3blue/3red) and donate them to the forum so that they could be GIVEN to kids by the forum or the YFI in the forum if the discount/price was right. He made the price right and I now have six rod/reel combos that are ready to be picked up (Lincoln, NE) and given away to kids that could use them.

I am not particular how they are given away so long as they go to kids that need them and the sooner the better. Hopefully other forum members can donate some gear so that they have the basic equipment they need to get started. I will throw in 8 brand new Plano stowaway adjustable compartment boxes that I've never needed/used to hold the donated equipment (hooks, weights, bobbers, etc.). If one of the moderators or the YFI's could PM me to arrange a pick-up time for this equipment I'd appreciate it. I really would like to get them into the hands of kids before the ice hits.

The only other thing I would ask is that when they are given away that some pictures get posted of the first fish the kids catch using them.

If any of you witnessed the fellow at the boat ramp at Harlan who offloaded his boat at the ramp last week and then had his trailer come apart and roll down the ramp out into 20 feet of water, I know that guy.

He's a buddy of mine.

The tongue stayed hitched up, and the rest of the trailer rolled down the ramp into 20 feet of water where it flipped over.

He got it back with a lot of help.

We laughed for 10 minutes while watching the game yesterday when he told us that story. Well, actually, his wife told it... and we still laughed.

I told him that he might already be famous on here!

We are Team Mighty Mo and we will be fishing Gavin's Point Dam. We are going to be there raising awareness about littering and the effects of doing so. For anyone who has fished there before understands exactly what I mean.

So I am calling out to anyone who fishes Gavin's or anywhere on the Mighty Mo to, if you can, support us. We are going to be cleaning up the shores while we are out there fishing for 24 hours and will be talking to the locals or whoever else is out there about the importance of packing in packing out. So if this is an area that you fish a lot or even if you don't we are there to support people like you and raise awareness about cleaning up after yourself to preserve our fisheries for the next generation. We are trying to raise $20.00 an hour for the time we fish and we currently have not met our goal. So any support helps!!

Thanks for looking!
This sweeping proposal would include all tackle that contains lead, so please post this information on your website or bulletin board. Thanks from the American Sportfishing Association.
