This past weekend I made it down to Texas with my dad for my cousins wedding. We both knew that there was no chance that we were gonna make the trip that far down and not fish. We agreed we would pay our family dues at the wedding and see everyone then we were heading straight for the gulf. We ended up getting 2 solid days of fishing and a really bad sun burn out of the 3 days we were there. My Uncle fishes the bay of Galveston in his boat all the time so he is always our free guide when we make it down there. We caught alot of hard heads and gaftops, both are salt water catfish that are some what inconvenient to catch to due their poisonous barbed fins. I caught a 7 lb sheeps head. The group caught a total of 5 trout and then we limited out on large redfish.

Here is the only picture i have from the weekend.

As I was looking for some other info, I stubbled across a site that has weather forecasts for some of the western NE reservoirs from the National Weather Service. It appears that the forecasts are updated often. Thought it may be helpful to some of you when planning a trip out to the good (fish-filled :wRazzing:) end of our state. Maybe it is old news to some of you, but it was new to me.

Here is the link: http://www.nws.noaa.gov/view/prodsBy...rodtype=public

Not sure what you will need to do to update it...maybe just hit the 'refresh' tab.

(Mods, if this belongs under another area, please move it.)

My mini-me and I decided that since it was such a nice day, we would run over to wagon train to do some fishing. This was his first "real" fishing experience and it turned out fantastic! Caught several small bluegill in the 5-7 inch range, and lots of crappie about the same size with the exception of one that was around 12 inches. Everything was caught with in 5 feet of shore on a bobber and worm. Ran through about a dozen and a half worms in about 2 hours so the action was just fast enough to keep him interested. On the way home all I heard about was when are we going next and that we need to keep some for supper (which we didn't this time). No pics of fish, just of my little fella.

Haven't been up there this year, last year (first year I've been there) didn't have much luck up there, I know that much. It is nice scenery in certain spots, other spots looks like desert - haha.

Also, is the Mo river somewhat accessible on the north side of Boyer? I've only just fished the south side.

I would love to find some channels or drum. Haven't had much luck on the Elkhorn this year either yet. Hoping to get out on Saturday.

Does anyone have experience with Fisher boats?

I am looking into buying a 95 SV17GT. I have done some google searches, but haven't come up with much that is current or relevant.

It's hard to judge some reviews as well, because no matter what type of vehicle (boat, PWC, car, truck) there are always going to be some "failures." Also, it seems that people voice their negative opinions far more willingly/often than those with positive experiences.

Thanks for any input!

Hey Guys,
So if a guy caught a limit of 15 crappies at one lake and then move to a different one to catch 15 more and put them in the same cooler. How can a guy prove that he caught half in one lake and went to another? Since we can possess 30 crappie per day.Sorry i just have to ask, i met a few guys who move from one lake to another because they've caught their limit from one lake and needing a few more fish for the fish fry. I know this is illegal and showed them the fishing guide, each to his own i guess.
