I was wondering if any of you had recommendations for good work boots. I need safety toe. Prefer gore-tex and uninsulated. My work allowance is $250 so I don't want to go too far past that if I can help it. My biggest requirement is something that the toe will not wear out in a month. I spend a lot of time on my knees (hold the jokes
) and the toes in my boots wear out way before any of the rest of the boot. Any ideas on good boots that won't have that problem, or some other remedy for the toe wearing out fast. Thanks!

I always wore Redwings or Carolinas when I wore steel toed boots. These work really well ( I welded rear bumpers on semi-trailers, so I spent alot of time on my knees too) Boot Savers Toe Protectors

I'd second the Carolinas.
