Kinda messed up

I am minority by race and am foreigner....so consider myself as being double minority

if there is a such a thing as class of double minority

Anyway, being minority, I got so annoyed by those people who uses its minority status in a wrong way. If I am white and thus majority, I may not allow to say this (without being called racist) but since I am not, I will say this anyway

My good friend, who happens to be a white, teaching class and find out that one of the student being cheating on bunch of assignments....it is so obvious and dumb quality of cheating that even my ferrets will see it

Anyway, my friend kindly pointed out that he is cheating and cannot give him any points on all those assignments. In stead of admitting cheating (which is very obvious

), he start threating her that he is going to go higher administrations to file complaint that she is racist and discriminating him by single him out. Just so messed up stupid accusations

I just get so annoyed this morning when I hear this from my friend. I think she will handle this well but still.....I was sick to hear that there are people out there who does this kind of silly thing.

Being foreigner in this country, I learned one thing...there are lots of disadvantages that certain group of people face. You may not be able to solve everything by yourself but in some situations, there is one thing you can do to help overcome the situations.....work hard and be twice as good as others on what you are doing. Trust me on this one. If you complaing about your disadvantages and rely on others to help you out or try to get sympathy....at the end....you gain nothing....and your life will be as crappy as before.

Anyway, I felt today that I want to put a big sign up in down town...saying...

'Stop whining and get to work!!'

Good post Sam, I hope it works out with her situation.

We had a similar situation at the apartment the other night concerning out neighbors and the security team. Needless to say they aren't our neighbors any longer.

It is sad that there are individuals who will do things like this, however, it's not limited to minority groups. I work in a college dormitory and am constantly accused of playing favorites when I have to come down on students who are breaking the rules. "You never give so-in-so a hard time about this stuff." Right, that's because so-in-so doesn't break the rules! It annoys me to no end.

That's why they call it, "playing the race card." It also works in a lot of situations. Until we face the problems we have as a people and stop jumping and hiding whenever someone says you are racist, then these problems are going to continue.

I was very, very fortunate growing up and was lucky enough to study with one of the top professionals in the chosen field of my youth for a time at a very young age and he told me one thing the first day I met him that has always stuck with me.

In order to go 100% further than the next guy, you only need to be 10% better than he is.

That 10% can be a b**** though!!

My wife works at a school where this kind of stuff happens all the time, by gradeschoolers. They learn it young (from someone

) and there is not much they can do to correct it.
