Default West Bend Cook ware

Anyone had the opportunity to own/use any of the West Bend Cookware? Do you like it, is it worth it? Does stuff still stick to the bottom of the pan?

Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure but I think that's what our stuff is. My mother in law bought it for us for a wedding gift. I'm not the biggest fan of the stuff. I like cheap teflon pans. Stainless steel, no matter how expensive it is, still isn't teflon. Stuff sticks to it, they're a pain to clean and they scratch.

I don't know, maybe i'm not sophisticated enough as a cook to appreciate a decent set of pans. I'm happy with a $40 set of pans from wal mart... and then in 2 years when they're garbage, i'll go out and get another set.

The wife and I have tried all the teflon pans (not sure about west bend) but we tried a lot of them, and the teflon always comes off after a while, maybe a year or just over. I finally went and bought her a set of the stainless pans and pots that "Emeril" makes and we love them. No problems yet and we've had them for about 5 yrs now, and they still look like new. Food doesn't stick and the best is the handles don't even get warm when cooking. Very easy to clean too.

Suposedly, these pans are cast iron, with an oil core (for even cooking), coated on the outside, with stainless steal.

I think I'll be checking ebay for a while to see if any pop up.

Thanks for the input.
