Default Smash Burger - Omaha

Nicole and I went to the new burger joint by Target on 132nd and L, Smash Burger for lunch.

Not worth it. I got a swiss mushroom burger (1/2 lb), Nicole got a burger with oinion strings on it (1/3rd lb). We split an order of thier fries. With drinks, total cost was about $15. The food was decent, at best. I know weight of the burger is pre-cooking, but mine was nowhere near other places 1/2 lb burgers. For the money, go to Fudruckers or other such place.

100% agree with Alex. I went there over lunch today. Food is mediocre and way overpriced. I won't be going back. The burgers are nothing special at all.

I ate at Fudruckers the other way and it was great! They have completely remodeled the place and it's nice! I got a black and blue burger and you could really taste the blue cheese. Yummy...

Speaking of burger joints, does anybody like Red Robin (is that what it's called?).... My wife and I went there one day and I wasn't impressed. I just don't see the point of spending over $30 for my wife and I to go out and have a burger. Gourmet or not, for those prices, I'll go to applebees and get something better...or for a few more bucks go to texas roadhouse and get a couple ribeyes.

Anyway, your description of the place you ate at reminded me of my experience at red robin.

Went once won't go back. Stellas still has the best burgers in Omaha.

I've had some good stuff at Red Robin but not consistently. Don and Millie's have the greatest onion rings and burgers every time hands down. Unfortunately they are only located in Lincoln and Omaha as far as I know.

I can't believe we actually AGREE on something!
Runza's mushroom and swiss burger (or the actual mushroom and swiss runza) kick arse. If they served beer, I'm not sure I would ever leave...

I miss Runza. They need to make that a national chain.

Well if you live in Omaha and want to try a good burger joint, head to Dairy Castle, it is in the old Dairy Queen, in Carter Lake Iowa, just a short drive from down town, and the burgers are deeeeeeeelicious. Though they are still in the process of remodeling the place...

Best onion rings is at big freds. Best burger, for fast food id go with Runza or Fudruckers. Of course can't beat the ones I make on the grill.

I tried that a few weeks back, wasn't overly impressed, a little pricey. Seems like the best burgers I've had come from the small town dive bars.

Yep. 5 Guys has great reviews but I agree with you. 5 Guys claims to have great fries but I like mine crisp, and theirs have been chewy. Burgers are definitely overpriced and not that great. I actually enjoy Red Robin for it being a chain place.

I think 5 guys is great. For my wife and I to eat it was something like 15 dollars. If we had eaten at Runza it would have been like 12 dollars. The fries are a million times better then Runza's.

Generic you are right Burger Star is good stuff. Again you guys beware it is not the McDonalds Dollar menu prices.
