Default Family Outdoor Skills Program in Lincoln

NGPC news release, 5/22/09:

LINCOLN, Neb. – A Family Outdoor Skills Program will be held in Lincoln on June 13 so families may try activities and learn skills together. The event is 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Lincoln Izaak Walton League Shooting Range, 10801 South 134th St.

Families with youth ages 11-15 may participate in fishing, shotgun, rifle, archery, and game-calling programs presented by the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, Lincoln Izaak Walton League and Quail Unlimited.

“What family isn’t looking for more ways to spend quality time together?” said Jeff Rawlinson, assistant administrator of the Commission’s Information and Education Division. “There is no better way for families to enjoy more fun and time together than through the outdoors.”

To register, call Heather Weihe at the Commission at (402) 471-5662.
