Default Plums in bloom

The wild plums are in bloom along most of the country roads in Lancaster county. I recommend heading out soon to take a leisurely drive and enjoy the sights and especially the smells of spring.

My step mom used to make some of the best jams and jellies. We'd always cruise the backroads around home and stopping to pick a bunch.

They line the edges of the trail I ride my bike on most mornings before work. It's so nice to ride down the trail and smell those blossoms!

Never picked the plums, but I LOVE getting the elderberries and chokecherries for jelly and syrup respectively.

Unless you know what you're doing, Don, those plums can give whole new meaning to the word "pucker!"
