Default Boating Accident at B.0. - 6/21

I heard a clip on 10/11 at 10pm last night (6/21) about a boating accident B.O. about 8:15 pm. Heard a little more this AM that one of two people thrown from the boat [almost] lost an arm to the propeller. Checking both KLKNTV.com and KOLNKGIN websiter yeilds no additional info.

One of the stations gave the names of the victims this AM. I don't want to repeat here as I don't want to get it wrong. Hope it wasn't a forum member.

My prayers are with [Bryan Smolik] and his family. Gadget

Bad weekend for boating with those two separate incidents killing one and injuring two others.

Those involved at all levels are in my prayers.

Scott

the lake I visited this past weekend was packed, that has to have something to do with the people all acting like morons and trying to show off for each other, causing accidents. the boat ramp parking was full the overflow parking was full and there were trucks and empty trailers lined up 1/2 mile away from the ramp along the access road, just way to many boats on the water. there were people trying to fish and then there were people with tubes and ski's trying tosee how close they could get to the people fishing when they had plenty of room to ski elsewhere on the lake. what a mess! as a good point the co's were out patroling the lake and shores from both boats and trucks. this was in KS. what a madhouse, told the family no more weekend trips and only going during the week till things settle down some.
Also saw several instances where people were swimming off the shore(not in the designated swimming area) almost get ran down by jetskiers running the shoreline at high speed.

Just a little refresher on this. Ryan and I ran into Bryan's brother tonight at BO They managed to save his arm, is out of the hospital and up and doing things. Don't have a lot more detail, but will try to find out more.
