Good video Scott. I might add, a little common sense to trim the motor down when it started to chine walk, and especially as he crossed the wake could have saved him a lot of pain.
But then you wouldn't have this great testimonial for safety devices.
Plain and simple, he was hotdogging and disregarding safety.

exactly! repeative high speed runs past a camera indicate to me, he was hotdogging it and could have avoided the whole incident altogether. Regardless though, good thing for his safety device.

Life Vest and kill switch regardless. That guy should be dead.

The outboard came right over the top of him.

Better thank the big man upstairs too.

I will never understand the whole; I need to go as fast as I can in my boat thing. Ask me how fast my boat goes,,I don't know. My truck goes real fast too, but I never do. Why are all lakes no wake, 5mph, or as fast as you're boat will go? Speed limits make sense to me. Dillhole got what he deserved! Glad no others got hurt by fast bassboat guy.

What is fast to someone is probably slow to others. If you have a 225hp Merc on the back 45-55mph is probably cruising speed. Very glad she he had his life jacket on and kill switch hooked up too.

It looked like the boat held up pretty well I would be curious to see what damage the boat sustained too.

Even though he was doing some pretty stupid stuff, you don't need a degree in common sense to buy a bassboat with a 225hp merc on it. There are probably a lot of people that could get themselves in this situation without thinking they are being dumb. I know a few people that would probably think, if the boat can go that fast, then its safe to go that fast.

Also, I watched an empty bassboat do circles in the ozarks for about an hour almost running over the guy it threw out about six times. Not exactly sure how he fell out, but it could have been ugly.

You are all correct, he got himself into the situation, apparently showing off for the camera. And it is probably an extreme example, but still, a good example of why the aforementioned safety devices are important.

You don't have be be doing Mach 90 to be thrown from a boat and need a safety device such as a PFD and/or cut-off lanyard to save your bacon. Small investment for the "just in case..." moment that you never know is coming!

It's rumored that when he was at the hospital, they removed his testicles without his consent when he was under because they didn't want him reproducing.
