Getting excited for the fishing season. Went out yesterday and bought a couple new lures, line and found a good deal on some plastic worms at Scheel's. Been out a couple of times fishing from the bank with no luck. Really didn't give it a serious effort. It was more or less just to get out and fish. Did catch one trout at Standing Bear throwing a Chartreuse Mepps. It was kind of funny actually. I threw it out a long ways and noticed I had line twist in my spinning reel spool so I pulled a bunch of line off until it was out. When I reeled up all the slack there was a tug on the line and there was the Trout. It made me laugh anyway.

I have been doing a lot of reading on the forum and have determined there are a lot of nice people willing to help out there. I hope I will have the opportunity to fish with some of them some day. It appears a lot of people on the forum fish together and as far as I can tell they only know each other through the forum. Interesting.

Well that's all for now, just found this new blog area and thought I would give it a try.
