That is just one of four submitted to some old balding guy. I'm patiently waiting for him to post his preference.

No, I wasn't trying to influence him, in ANY way!

Was Harold the model for the Amish father figure?

(PM sent to Slimdog, who did all the work.)

Chad, Steve, OBG, etc, do we need to get permission from the person whom I swiped the photo from to use it in the logo?

(I realize I should have asked before, but I didn't know if that would be the photo we ended up using...)

Yes. That would be the proper thing to do. There's also a legal aspect involved if sometime in the future NEFGA might want to sell a shirt or cap as a fund-raiser and it has that photo. Basically, he needs to sign a note releasing rights to ownership of the photo. I'm no lawyer, but that's my understanding of personal copyright.

I imagine he will be flattered you chose his family picture for the image. He should be!

(If it turns out to be a problem, we can always go with "Amish Harold." )

Google photo release form, there are many generic ones out there. They usually allow you to obtain usage rights while the 'owner' retains copyrights.

Absolutely correct, OBG...

Wow! I'm honored. I'll give usage rights to the photo, no problem. PM me the details and we'll figure it out.
