So we have $750.00 at a tax rate of 1.26%, so the amount I was audited over was a total of $8.82, which by the way, I didnt owe because everything was legit. But seriously! perform an audit over 8 bucks? that is crazy.

That's ridiculous... I have a similar story that is still unfolding.
I claim residency to Ohio because (A) I plan to move back there some day and (B) they don't require me to pay taxes. I still have to file, but I just tell them 100% of my income was military wages and I owe nothing. Well, the city I grew up in does the same thing. I have to file but no taxes. This year I forgot to do that....Actually I just blew them off. So my dad got a letter in the mail yesterday saying I have 30 days to (A) "pay" my city income tax (which if I wasn't exempt would still only be $60) or (B) Come up with proof of non residency or I will be arrested. I'm thinking about just not filing still. I wonder if they'd actually come find me... And I wonder if they'd actually make me sit in jail for Municipal Tax Evasion of $0.00
