Elton didn't catch anything although we tossed him around quite a bit. Once we started catching fish on floating minnow type lures we put the spinners away. I also tried out some new florocarbon leaders I made up. The single strand wire leaders I make up work great unless you are trying to work a lure slow, they just weigh down the front of the lure too much. I tied up some floro leaders with 50 and 100 pound berkley vanish leader material. I used a palomar knot with a drop of superglue on the attachment points to the swivel and snap. Use plenty of spit to tie those knots with leader material if you make any. The 50 pound floro held up nice and gave my lures better action than with a steel leader.
