dad and I shot our 6 in two fields. The dog did a nice job holding the birds down. 5 out of the 7 fields we tried already had people in them when we showed up (all private land). Didn't know we shared our fields with that many people but it seems like people are always out for the opener and that's it. Hopefully they all had permission as we only got to talk to a few of the groups. It was very wet out there too, half of our milo was completely underwater. Can't really comment on the outlook of the season until the corn comes out, but we saw a decent number of birds.
