And $2 per bushel to dry corn is not reasonable. I've sold corn for less than $2 per bushel (right now cash corn is in the low $3 range) and it certainly doesn't cost more than the corn's value (or 2/3 its value) to dry it. The lowest cost I have ever heard with a modern drier was slightly more than 1¢ per percentage point of moisture per bushel. Since I don't own a drier he may have been BS'n me.
