All good points. We're walking a really fine line here. The owners of the lake, which is 130 acres, have a business where they entertain clients of big businesses. The day includes guided fishing (for largemouth), gourmet meals, live jazz music, and incredible overnight lodgings. They invited Jim Gronaw and myself there because they want some press. But there's also always the possibility of too much press.
The article will be called "The pursuit of the 2 lb. bluegill", and it will talk about both public and private fisheries. Lake Perris in California is probably the premeir public fishery, and Richmond Mill is probably the premier private fishery. I'm going to try to get to Lake Perris sometime to fish for 2 lbs fish there as well.
In-Fisherman is so science based, that they'll insist that this doesn't become a promotional piece. Their journalistic standards are very high.
Believe it or not, Richmond Mill was being managed and developed to produce a trophy largemouth fishery....The trophy bluegill fishery was just a happy accident.

VERY happy.
