Grass carp are filter feeders, therefore extremely hard to target with typical methods. I've never heard of one being caught purposefully on conventional tackle.
Let me rephrase it: They eat vegetation, unlike common carp. They're sort of "grazers" they feed in similar fashion to a filter feeder on aquatic vegetation.
