I could be wrong here but I thought the intent was to get people(especially kids) out from behind a computer,not sit on the NGPC website and play games.

They have to get the kids interested somehow. If they try the virtual outdoors and enjoy that they may take the leap and check out the real outdoors eventually. I think its a good idea.
