Default WR Muskie

I've seen this video/story as well.

I don't think you could find an avid muskie angler that hasn't had the keep or release discussion in the boat, or on the way to the lake as far as a world record catch.

A LOT of factors go into the equation for me. Speaking for myself and most of my boat partners, 95% of the time it would be released. A muskie that big though exerts pretty much all of it's energy during the battle, and if the fish is hooked during the warmest months, it might not survive. McNair was fishing the 1,000 Islands area during November, so the water was cold and the fish probably is still alive today.

I could go on and on about this (books have been written on the topic!), but I thought I'd share a few thoughts and call it good.
