I'll try this again. I must've hit the wrong key and deleted my post.......not that it matters.
As a newbie to the fly rod I liked the article. I barely know which end is which.............well actually I do have that one figured out. Now I know what type of fly to try next, where to place it and a few other things to try. Sometimes it's not the end reslut but the journey.
I bought the flyrod because I liked the idea of flies or lures or whatever your choice from natural materials to mimic natural food. That and I get confused by all the many bass lures on the shelf. I still use my night crawlers, basic plastic worm, might even go back to minnows again for my rod and real. Oh ya and I still prefer the old Zebco 202 to anything I've tried.
I can say this. With the little time I've had with my fly rod I have NEVER had so much fun not catching fish. But I'll catch some, if not this weekend then next.
