NEFGA Fly Tiers,

A small group of NEFGA members have decided to create a collection of NEFGA-Member Flies. This will be a good opportunity to highlight member creativity/talent and raise funds to help support the forum. Details are below.

If you're interested in participating, post to this thread and indicate the pattern(s) you would like to submit.

I would like to have all flies by the end of May.

NEFGA Fly Tiers Collection

1. The collection will be viewable on the NEFGA webiste and be organized by tiers name and fly type.

2. Participating tiers will email a picture of themselves with short (1 to 2 paragraphs) biographical sketches to chad@nefga.org for use in the collection. Tiers are welcome to include additional information and/or links on their tiers page.

3. Tiers will deliver 5 flies of each submitted pattern (along with recipes, instructions optional) to Chad (PM me when you have the flies), the fly will be photographed for display in the collection. All 5 flies will be retained by NEFGA. One fly will become part of the permanent NEFGA Fly Tiers Collection. One fly will be used for promotional purposes (i.e. fish caught on NEFGA Flies will be displayed on the forum with links back to the collection to drive traffic and interest). The final three flies will be part of an annual silent auction to support NEFGA.

Thanks in advance to everyone who agrees to participate! Perhaps we can do this once a year, and build a pretty cool collection as time goes by.

Again, when you have your contributions ready, just send me a PM and we'll connect for the hand off.

By the way, the only "guidelines" are that you submit 5 flies for each pattern. You can do as many (or as few) patterns as you like. They do not have to be originals. It would be cool if they "worked around here", but your call.

Also, when you know what patterns you would like to contribute, post that here, to avoid excessive duplication of patterns.
